London, 24 September 2020: Quorsus, providers of consultancy services to financial institutions, has today announced its appointment of Carolyn K. Van den Daelen as Managing Partner and Chief of Staff. In this role, Carolyn will be strategic advisor and counsel to the leadership team, assume responsibility for the ongoing management of relationships with key clients, and create and maintain cross-departmental relationships to enable business success. Carolyn is the latest addition to the fast-growing Quorsus team. Founded at the start of 2020, the consultancy has grown its staff count to 25+ people and is working on a variety of projects across a range of tier one clients.

Keith Pritchard, Chief Pragmatist and Managing Partner, Quorsus said: “We have known Carolyn for a number of years now and have been extremely impressed with her work at ICE and her position in the industry so we are thrilled that she is joining us. Her deep experience of the clearing and reporting businesses as well as her compliance, regulatory, and legal expertise make her an ideal managing partner for Quorsus. We are looking forward to welcoming her onboard.”

Prior to joining Quorsus, Carolyn worked in various roles at the Intercontinental Exchange, Inc.
(NYSE: ICE) since 2011.  Most recently, Carolyn served as the Head of Regulation and Compliance for ICE Clear Europe, ICE’s London-based clearing house which clears OTC and Exchange Traded Derivatives contracts across the commodities, interest rates, equities, and credit asset classes.  Prior to this role, Carolyn was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for ICE Trade Vault
Europe, ICE’s European trade repository.

Carolyn K. Van den Daelen said: “After the invaluable experience I gained from nearly a decade at ICE, I was excited to move to a company where I could use the diverse financial services skill set that I developed over the years. Rather than taking on another in-house compliance or regulatory role, I was keen to have a more hands-on experience in a growing business. When I heard that Simon, Ryan and Keith had started their own consultancy that focussed on providing high-value post-trade operations and technology expertise, I knew that I wanted to be a part of it. I look forward to working alongside the forward-thinking and talented Quorsus team.”

Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a juris doctor from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. Carolyn is a licensed attorney in the state of Illinois and is qualified as a solicitor under the laws of England and Wales.
